We brought Lauren home on Thursday night and so far, so good. She is such a good-tempered little baby and hasn't yet begun to freak us out. She has only cried on a couple of occasions, but mostly she just kind of fusses when she's upset. Nothing earth-shattering, though. Her feeds are every 3 hours, same schedule as her sisters in the NICU, so we just wake her up when it's eating time and thus she never gets overly hungry. We can tell that it's almost time for her feedings, though, because about 30 to 45 minutes ahead of time she starts smacking her lips and stirring a little, and goes to town on her paci. After mealtime she wants nothing to do with the paci. And we have also learned that with her, it's best to do the diaper change after she eats. When she is all swaddled up, she is less likely to do her business. The moment we take off the blanket, though, the toots set in. Sometimes it's just gas, but by the time her bottle is finished and we lie her down for the diaper change, the real stuff starts coming out. We often have to let her lie down and stretch out for a few minutes before we can even change her diaper; otherwise, we end up going through more than one. Major pooper here. Really, everything is going perfectly. Having only one baby home means that we have a lot of time to sit and stare at her, watch television, clean, make dinner, etc. I'm sure all of our free time will disappear in a few days when we bring home baby #2 and baby #3.
By the way, we were told that Makenna should be home in the next few days, too. Olivia had a couple of Bradycardia episodes and some reflux (through the nose), so she has been delayed a tiny bit. They still want her home in a few days, but they are keeping an eye on her for right now. Makenna, however, broke 5 pounds yesterday. In fact, today she weighed in at 5 lbs 3 oz. Our little porker is doing well and once she is up to full feeds for a few days, they will likely send her out the door. Possibly by next weekend we will be totally exhausted from caring for 3 babies. Should be interesting.
Here are some pictures of Miss Lauren from yesterday and today.

Congrats on the first baby coming home, she is so adorable. I wish we lived closer so I could come over and cuddle with them once they are all home!
Congrats hun! Only 2 more left to go before chaos insues! It is great to have all 3 babies home but man, it is more than 2 sets of arms can handle at times, lol!

Congratulations! Home sweet home. What beautiful pictures. I just love the one of her smiling. I'm starting to realize just how easy I had it with just one baby. Get all your rest now cause you'll need it with all 3 babies at home. If I lived closer I would come help you out. I would do anything to snuggle with those cuties.
